A Transsexual Tale

It is said that in record companies, there is a sort of manual of the pop song which many pop stars secretly use. Following by heart the advices of this book, you can compose the perfect pop song. A perfect pop song  must consist of the following elements: Intro, verse, bridge, refrain, and still the second verse, the second bridge, the second refrain, special and in the end, the final refrain. The intro, as the word itself tells you, introduces the verse, it creates the atmosphere and often refers to the notes that will built the refrain . The verse, however, must create the right tension and stable base on which the refrain will blow up. We come then to the bridge. It tells you the word itself, it is a bridge between the verse and the refrain, moving the tension built up during the verse, to the resolution that will occur during the refrain. Then finally arrives the refrain, also known as the chorus, which is the climax of the song, the one where the previous accumulated tension will explode.A special note for the special, what is usually sandwiched between the two final choruses. It would be a sort of musical variation, often also accompanied by the solo (guitar, horns etc..) not to make too monotonous for the final part of the song. The manual strongly recommends that the refrain must arrive by a minute otherwise the song  will never be passed on the radio.

Intro
No car ever passes in the morning in that road, while, during the night, it happens that many of those pass there. Sooner or later someone always comes near the curb. That is the time when the bargaining takes place.

Strofe
In the control room of the building that he had to watch, the night watchman compacted in his uniform, was strumming his acoustic guitar desperately seeking melodies to put inside his songs. For inspiration, he was constantly peering the cameras that framed the entire perimeter outside the building where there was going on, like every night, a parade of street fashion. Blatantly rigged and dressed in the most imaginative ways, dozens of transvestites were walking on the sidewalk like it was a catwalk. Near Both sides of it, the audience was there, instead of sitting on chairs as in a real fashion show, they were on the cars.
" And while you were walking in the street, I watched you still..."
The night watchman sang  to himself, thinking it would be a good phrase to put in the text of one of his songs. Then while striving to make music, his vision focused on one of viados who abandoned the show to go into the car of one of the public.
"And you with your indefinite sex escaped with me..."
The night watchman sang to himself, thinking it would be a good phrase to put in the text  of  one of his songs.
"But now let’s do the damn music .."
He whispered.

Bridge
With heavy eyes, in the early morning,he  took off the uniform, placing it carefully in his locker along with the acoustic guitar. He was about to close it again when he noticed the presence of a fairly conspicuous wisp of blond hair on the shoulder of his jacket.
"The hair I have left you on my jacket."
He  sang to himself as he closed the closet, thinking it would be a good phrase to put in the text of one of his songs. He cursed against those who seemed to purposely create the traffic to slow down  his rest. Once home, a murmur of voices and a faint smell of crisp coffee from the kitchen made him  stop for a moment to think only about music.
- Is that you? - exclaimed a female voice.
Looking out, his face visibly beaten he quickly kissed a blonde woman in a bathrobe sipping a cup of coffee while watching TV.
- Honey have you slept a little bit?
- You know that I have to stay awake or I would be fired. Anyway I played the guitar.
-  I wonder how you can do it? I should drink to stay awake liters of coffee, while you only need music,  just that.
- Normal people use coffee to stay awake at night, but I use the music.
He thought before going to bed it would be a good phrase to put in the text of a song. Half asleep, then he strove to develop the music.

Refrain
The car after wandering for a long time away, at last came to the curb. The cross came to bargain.
- Hello darling.
- How much do you want?
- 30 for a blowjob, 50 for fucking.
- Where are we going?
- I know a place near here, shall we go?
- Okay let's go.

Second Strofe
At lunchtime, as usual he woke up with an empty head, annoyingly clear of songs. When he awoke with that feeling of emptiness, he always felt very sad. He was desperately looking for a catch-phrase to put in vain in the text of a song but nothing ever came up to his mind. But the worst thing ever were his insights on his status as a songwriter who to survive, was a security guard and never finished writing his songs. In fact the problem was that he began to compose or rather loads of beautiful phrases to put in his songs came up to his mind  but then the music was always missing. He used to waste a long time instead to emulate his idols in front of the mirror, especially certain pop stars, one above all the king of pop: Michael Jackson. He admired his skill in dancing and of course his songs, all complete of music and text luckily. He used to sing them  in front of the bathroom mirror, often trying to imitate his most famous dance step: the Moonwalk.

Second Bridge
With heavy eyes early in the morning he took off his uniform, carefully placing it in the cupboard along with the acoustic guitar. He was about to close it again when he realized of that strong perfume, coming out of his jacket.
"The scent that you left me on my jacket.."
He sang to himself, as he closed the closet, thinking it would be a good phrase to put in the text of a song. He cursed again this time against those who seemed to create traffic specifically to delay his rest, and as usual coming home the indistinct murmur of voices mingled with the usual crisp smell of coffee made him stop thinking for a moment only to the music. Then there was the sight of that woman who was sipping coffee and watching the tv. Same dialogue between the two, same kisses bestowed, the same phrase uttered to close the talk. It would be a good phrase to put in the text of a song, but how about the music?

Second Refrain
The car after wandering for a long time away, at last came to the curb. The cross came to bargain.
- Hello darling.
- How much do you want?
- 30 for a blowjob, 50 for fucking.
- Where are we going?
- I know a place near here, shall we go?
- Okay let's go.

Special
She thought  he was lying to her. The stress produced working at nights, the obsession with the music, the truth was that he was cheating on her . One day his jacket adorned with hair of a different color from her, another day his jacket impregnated with a perfume different from hers. All clues that made her think  that he was cheating on her. Now she just wanted to discover who she was.One night she decided to follow him by car to his place of work . That night she saw him take a path completely different from the usual, arriving at a certain point on a street where the sidewalks were populated by androgynous creatures commonly called transexuals. She saw him picking up on his car one of them and then go and park in a dark corner of the road. She could not see very well but some unmistakable movement of people made her understand  what kind of activity was taking place inside the car. She was now determined to catch him but she did not have time because all of a sudden, the car door opened, letting the trans take possession of his piece of sidewalk next to another one. She saw them  talking amiably, and the one who had just got out of the car looked  particularly happy. She saw her dancing, pointing to the steps of the typical dance in the film that made Michael Jackson famous in  Moonwalker. Seized by  sad curiosity, she decided to approach by car to the curb to see them better. She stared them in the face and they stared back. The one who was dancing, in particular, hit her attention.

Final Refrain
The car, after wandering for a long time in the street, finally approached the sidewalk. One the two trans came to bargain but did not have time to say anything because the car drove off quickly.
- Jeez Look at that! And I think she was a woman. Is she stupid?
- Don’t make a fuss! Maybe you weren’t his type! Anyway have you seen how I dance the moonwalk with high-heeled shoes? Do you want me to teach it to you?
